An hour ago I received an email from the shipping company, whose cargo ship will take us across the Med to Haifa. The vessel, the Spes, was supposed to dock in Monfalcone on 19. May. It is behind schedule, the new arrival date is 25 May, and probably will lose even more time until then.

Our visa bind us to set dates for the different countries. We cannot enter too early or too late.

Why do I get the feeling that this trip will throw more challenges at us as the time progresses?

‘n Uur gelede het ek ‘n epos van die redery gekry wie se vragskip ons oor die Middelandse See na haifa toe sal neem. Ons moes 19 Mei aan boord gegaan het. Die skip is agter skedule en tans is die nuwe datum 25 Mei. Dit kan egter nog verder agter raak.

Die visums bind ons met vaste datums aan die betrokke lande. Ons kan nie te vroeg of te laat daar aankom nie.

Ek kry die gevoel dit gaan nog ‘n interessante reis word …
