After three months back in the RSA!

‘n Koue Namakwaland met min blomme het my vanoggend terug in Suid-Afrika welkom geheet.

Ek sal more ‘n bietjie langer skryf.Ek gaan nou eers in die koue sonnetjie langs my tent sit en die hitte opslurp. Dis koud hier in Springbol waar ek kamp. Hier is genoeg kamers beskikbaar, maar ek wil darem nog so ‘n laaste keer of wat kamp.

Ek het vir ontbyt by die Kookskerm buite Steinkopf gestop / I stopped for breakfast at the Nama Kookskerm outside Steinkopf.

My ete was kerrievleis en 'n askoek / My breakfast was curry meat and an 'askoek', a small piece of bread prepared on the coals.

Die blomme is op die oomblik maar baie skaars / The well-known flowers of Namaqualand are scarce at the moment.

Good afternoon from an icy cold Springbok!

I crossed the border into the RSA this morning. It was a cold Namaqualand with little flowers that welcomed me back.

I am not going to write much today. I want to go and sit in the cool sunshine next to my tent to absorb all the heat possible. There were enough rooms available but I wanted to camp. It is one of the last times.

I will write again from Garies tomorrow.
