We reached our target!

Ek het gesê ek gaan eers weer skryf as ons ons doelwit van R 90 000.00 bereik het.

Netnou het my voordeurklokkie gelui. Willie Beukes hier van Naboom kom met ‘n koevert in sy hand in. Willie en sy vrou Cathy roer die wêreld om vir fondse vir Op Smile. Die geld is van ‘n man wat niks met Naboom te doen het nie maar wie se hart nog hart is. Terselfdertyd lui my selfoon. Dis Eeton Wickens van die Kenhardt Hotel op Kenhardt. Hy en sy vrou Suzette het so pas gelees dat nog R 3 815.00 uitstaande is. Minute na sy oproep kom ‘n sms van die bank deur. R 3 815.00 is inbetaal.

Ons het ons doelwit bereik. Dankie dankie dankie!!

Late afternoon my door bell rang. In came Willie Beukes. Willie and his wife Cathy are burning the midnight oil to help raising funds for Op Smile. In his hand was an envelope from a gent not from Naboomspruit but whose heart is still a human heart. A big donation. At the same time my cell phone rang. On the line was Eeton Wickens from Kenhardt. He and his wife Suzette read that an amount of R 3 815.00 was still outstanding. They pledged the money. Minutes late came an sms from the bank, the money was paid in.

We have reached our target. Thank you so much to all of you!

What are we aiming for now? R 120 000.00 until 18 September?
