Boeregasvryheid

On Saturday Willie and Cathy Beukes organised a lamb on a spit to welcome me back. It was such a lovely day, especially as my South African colleagues and their families were  invited as well. The photographs below tell the story. Thank you Willie and Cathy!

The fund raising dinner on 18 September will be a festive occassion as we have many reasons to celebrate!

Die skaap was sondig lekker! / The lamb was so juicy good!

Willie gave me two t-shirts of his company to give away somewhere in Africa. The first one I gave away in Egypt, the second one in Ethiopia.

This Egyptian guy complained that I damaged his t-shirt while loading the KLR on the barge. He reckoned with money but got a new t-shirt. I think he took a wild chance.

Mr Simpson is a waiter at ther Fogera Hotel in Gonder, Ethiopia. He brought me and Anja and Marizanne of last year's AoH project each a small gift. He got a new t-shirt.
