How unpredictable a fundraising campaign can be.

It feels like a cricket game: Three balls left and two runs to win.

The fundraising goal that Operation Smile and I set myself was R 80 000.00.

Last Thursday we were at R 17 000. Six days later we are at R 79 528.00.

One school, Hoërskool Hugenote in Wellington, had a fundraising campaign last Friday and this Monday. I know their contribution will take us over R 80 000.00.

We are nearly there. 14 children will get a new face and a new life.
