Friendship

The past weekend we had our annual KLR bash near beautiful Clarens in the Eastern Free State. It was about renewing old friendships and meeting new people. Those KLR people are as close to me as my own three sisters.

Here are a few photographs of a wonderful, wonderful weekend.

We camped under pear trees in full blossom.

The view we had from the place where we had our early morning coffee.

We are not a club where the president of the club dictates the programme. Each one could go and do what he/she wanted to do. We went for a lovely ride the Saturday afternoon.

The track went higher and higher up against the mountain. The view was unbelievable.

There was time even for minor mishaps. A few scratches, nothing broken.

Not a good photograph, but look at the lower section of the photograph. It is the roof of a wooden chalet high up on the mountain. The roof is covered with soil, and a chimney is heating the living room. I can imagine the panorama while sitting there with a mug of coffee early morning.

We had a lot of fun around the camp fire. Although it was cold we still got sunburnt.

The tents of Keat and mine with Clarens in the background against the mountains.
