Life is so beautiful …

It is early morning. This morning I saw the most beautiful sunrise over the eastern suburbs in Pretoria. I love life. Why?

1. This week is (hopefully) my last chemo treatment. Within months we will know Yay of Nay about the success and outcome of the cancer treatment. More than ever before I want it to be successful.

2. I plan a ride for the Magrietjies sometime during November. I am still weak and feel the pain in my chest with every movement. It will be a painful ride over two weeks but it is a ride that needs to be done. The old KLR and I on the road again after 13 months of inactivity…

3. I know to appreciate my friends more than ever before. Your support was special.

4. This morning our Magrietjie Fundraising exceeded the R 10 000.00 mark thanks to Piet and Martha van Zyl from the Cape. I met them in Estonia last year during my bike ride. By chance we stopped within half a minute from each other at a small B and B to try and escape from millions of mosquitoes (or so it felt to me). They were doing long distance cycle tours since 1960 and travelled South Africa, the USA, Europe and Australia intensively. Last year they were cycling through the Baltic States, Poland to Germany.

On Friday I had the huge privilege of having these two lovely people visiting me in Naboomspruit and having coffee with me on my stoep..

Right, I am off to the blood tests. Let us hold thumbs for the outcome!

From my stoep, to all you wonderful people making my life so rich.

I cannot thank all the donors enough!

Remember the MAGRIETJIE DINNER on 9 November. It will be an evening of music, socializing and a vibe of travelling especially by motorbike! Contact me at lodie at naboom2germany.co.za if you still would like to come.

See you in Naboom soon!
