A year ago I received the shuttering news that my life was in for a huge change. Cancer. The tumor spread to different parts of my body.
A year later. I am on my first weekend ride with Philip and Marietjie. Tonight the bush is still filled with noises. Last night a pod of hippos moved from the one waterhole to the one a hundred meters or so from our tents. The ride was a bit taxing but wow! I can ride again! I slept in my tent again. Like in the past we sat until late at our camp fire (photographs follow)
God is good!
Philip and Marietjie relax at out tents late afternoon.
Ronel, manager at Phelwana, brought us firewood. I know her for many years. She has a heart of gold.
That was the last opportunity for us to camp at Phelwana. The management decided to build a conference centre at that spot.
Jy is “amazing!” Wat ‘n voorbeeld vir ons almal. Ons loof en prys God.
Lodie, I’m pleased you’re back in the saddle, the best seat in the ‘house.’
Up for the task, the ‘ride for the Magrietjies.’ 🙂 🙂
