Rest in peace Lodie

Dear friends,

It is with sadness that we had to say farewell to Lodie on 25 December 2014.

From Lodie’s iPad, the following quote:

And I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year:

"Give me a light, that I may tread safely into the unknown!"

And he replied:

"Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the Hand of God.

That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way."

Carpe diem!

We will celebrate his life on Saturday 10 January 2015, the venue (most probably in or near Pretoria) and time will be confirmed as soon as possible.

With sadness,
His sisters Ina, Dorette and Ronelle

Rus in vrede Lodie. Jy sal altyd in ons gedagtes wees.

Dear Ina, Dorette and Ronelle, I can only agree with all the others, but especially with Larisa´s remark: Lodie, the kindest person I have known. He was a great inspriation to so many people. I am very sorry, especially for you sisters to miss him, but hope you agree that he now is in the very best hands possible… May he have his peace and lightness. We wil certainly be with you all in our hearts on the 10th of January.
